In this post, I am going to be talking about the Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse.
There is a lot of interest in the Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse – over 3600 people search online for information about this program every month – and there are probably a number of reasons why people are looking for information about it.
Let’s begin with the very basics, in the event that you are new to Isagenix, and, while you may have been told about the 9 Day Cleanse by a family member, friend or associate, you may not really know what it is all about.
What is the Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse?
If you haven’t had a chance to read the information on the home page of this website, on which I relate my own personal history with Isagenix, I will recap it briefly.
If you wish to read the longer version of the story subsequently, you are certainly welcome to.
I was first introduced to Isagenix back in 2006 when I was running a spa for men in Toronto which I had founded – one of the first day spas for men in the world, by the way.
One day, one of my clients came into the spa and when I was giving them Gift Baskets for Women, they told me and my staff about a “nutritional cleansing program” that he had just begun, and which he had been introduced to be a colleague during a weekend retreat.
In short, the “nutritional cleansing program” that my client had just begun, and which he was telling me and my staff about was the 30-day nutritional cleansing program by Isagenix.
Since I was running a spa, and had also produced a television series on spas for three years, I was very familiar with the whole idea of detoxifying programs – I had seen many detoxifying programs and treatments at the spas that we had featured in the television series.
I immediately began to research the Isagenix program which my client told me about – I called in a few of my friends from the Personal Training industry – and the upshot of all of that is that seven years later I am still very much involved with Isagenix, and so are a number of the Personal Trainers I called back in the summer of 2006 to have them check out the programs.
So, what is it all about?
Again, in a nutshell, John Anderson, who is one of the top nutritional product developers in the world set out to create a program that would gently eliminate toxins from the body, while, at the same time, flooding the body with the highest-quality nutrients that it needs to function optimally.
Now, you can see why it took one of the top nutritional product developers in the world to come up with a program that would gently eliminate toxins in the body while – at the same time – providing the highest-quality nutrients to your system.
That was a very tall order and Anderson achieved it with the Isagenix nutritional cleansing and fat burning systems.
The first program that he developed lasted for 9 days.
It became the Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse.
During that 9-day period, people on the program would have 5 “shake days” – which is to say, 5 days on which they would have 2 shakes like the chocolate shake you see pictured at the top of this blog post, and one meal.
The other four days of the 9-day program were “cleanse days”, on which a tonic called “Cleansed For Life” would be consumed several times, along with some Isagenix Snacks, but no meals.
The following was – and still is – the most common structure of the Isagenix 9 Cleanse:
- Day 1: Cleanse
- Day 2: Cleanse
- Day 3: Shake
- Day 4: Shake
- Day 5: Shake
- Day 6: Shake
- Day 7: Shake
- Day 8: Cleanse
- Day 9: Cleanse

The 30 Day Isagenix Cleanse
As stated above, the original nutritional cleansing system developed by Isagenix was a 9-day program, and it is still available.
It is ideal for people who want to achieve results quickly.
However, because there are 2 “cleanse days” back-to-back, at the start of the program and at the end of the program, it is a more challenging schedule for people who find it difficult to go a couple of days without eating.
Because of that, Anderson created an alternative program – one that lasts 30 days.
That became the Isagenix 30 Day Cleanse, which you may also be aware of.
In the 30-day program, there are 4 “cleanse days”, but only 1 per week.
Hence, at no point does the 30-day program require you to go 2 days without a meal.
It is a longer program, easier to do, and, for that reason, an ideal option for people who do not need immediate results but who want more dramatic results over a longer period.
As I have stated many times on this site, I have personally seen people lose between 20-24 pounds in a 30-day period on the Isagenix 30 Day Cleanse.
